NICK DICOSOLA
PRESIDENT

Nick DiCosola is the Principal and founder of the namesake DiCosola brand.

Within the broader organization, Nick is the President and owner of DiCosola Construction Management.  He leads the team to provide expert guidance to clients on projects nationwide, including serving as owners’ representative for ground-up condominium development projects and managing construction for clients in the multi-family, pharmaceutical, and retail real estate industries.  Nick is also the President of DiCosola Development, LLC, where he and his team identify and evaluate properties for investment and development.

Nick’s interest in real estate development stems from childhood, growing up in a construction family.  In college, he pursued his passion for Science, achieving his undergraduate degree from Culver-Stockton College and masters degree from Austin Peay State University in that field of study. Nick applied his advanced level deductive reasoning skills to the field of construction with the creation of his first company, D.T. Construction Management, in 1999.  There he provided general contracting and project management services to clients throughout Chicagoland for several years before launching Distinguished Dwellings, Ltd.  For 15 years through Distinguished Dwellings, Nick offered ground-up custom home development and construction services, which quickly evolved to encompass multi-family developments, commercial property buildouts, and bank REO redevelopment and repositioning (totaling over $250M in value). Recognizing the need for third party general contracting services within the industry, he created an additional business entity, DiCosola Group, LLC, to complete dozens of design-build and design-bid-build projects.  With a reputation for excellence and efficiency, for over a decade DiCosola Group delivered custom residential construction projects, ground up and adaptive re-use projects in the commercial and multi-family sectors, and completion and turn-around of failed projects.

An accomplished investor and developer, over the past twenty years Nick has acquired and improved single family homes, multi-family properties, and development land to create mixed-use and multi-family developments.

As a contractor, developer and investor, Nick’s visionary leadership and deep understanding of the drivers for real estate success have equipped clients and partners with the knowledge they need to make the right real estate investment decisions.

The DiCosola family resides in Hinsdale, where Nick primary role is chauffeur, personal coach, and cheerleader for his children’s academic and athletic pursuits.

MARIE DICOSOLA
DIRECTOR

For more than 15 years, Marie DiCosola has been creating home for clients.

Marie began her real estate career in custom luxury residential construction alongside her husband Nick.  Growing on this partnership, she established a property management company to manage and operate their multi-family and mixed-use real estate portfolio.  With an attention to detail and service-orientation cultivated throughout her prior career as a pediatric physical therapist, Marie delivered well-designed, attractive units with quality construction build out, and outstanding customer service, to tenants.

As the family office expanded to include third party construction and commercial renovation, her same unique approach to the fundamental goal of residential real estate – to create home ¬– continued to guide decision making, process implementation, and strategies to maximize her clients’ property, and in return, investment, and value.  While cultivating a culture of excellence, she guided her staff in delivering to the most discerning commercial clients and developers the right balance of professional and boutique, hands-on attention for each project. 

Marie joined Jameson Sotheby’s in 2020 with the express goal of helping clients find and create their perfect home. Serving as an expert residential real estate advisor, Marie carries forward the culture of excellence prioritizing her client’s goals.  Marie serves as a vast resource of knowledge and connections for her clients.  Residential buyers and sellers appreciate her professionalism when evaluating property fundamentals and navigating transaction complexities.  The partnerships developed with brokers in Sotheby’s Global network allow her to serve as her client’s trusted advisor when investing in a second home or relocating.  Commercial investors and owners benefit from her global network of relationships and market knowledge for acquisition and disposition assignments.  Lenders and legal entities rely on Marie’s background in operations and service as a fiduciary, coupled with her experience implementing strategies to retain and increase property value. 

Marie and her husband, Nick DiCosola, are the parents of four talented children and have created home for their family in Hinsdale and actively involved in the local community.
